The Estádio Algarve
The Algarve Stadium ‘Estádio Algarve’ with its daring architecture has already made it a benchmark in contemporary Portuguese architecture, and it is without a doubt one of the most functional and versatile of the 10 stadiums that form part of the final phase for UEFA EURO 2004.
Stadium Algarve is a harmonious fusion of architectural features created by steel and concrete, benefiting from the optimal location and landscape of the surrounding environs. The Stadium has a capacity of 30,305 seats. An articulate steel structure, distinct from the main concrete construction, supports the upper part of the main stands.
The stadium, entrusted with the responsibility of hosting EURO 2004 and other prestige and large-scale events (more recently, EURO 16 qualifier Portugal v Armenia), will be the main venue for The Atlantic Cup 2015.
